PART 3 STUDIO WORK post 6
Following the last point made in post 5, I’m experimenting with further ideas to do with the place of the written word in my process. I’m now very clear that the text is an integral step in the creative process for me at the moment. So I’m trying out a way of using that without having the text in the final image. The following images show how I’m using the ideas which come as the image emerges, as written text which are then obliterated as the layers of the painting develop. Scraping back happens in the work and so it is possible that there will be text in the image .
This work is experimental and only beginning to happen but it is helping me to resolve some issues about my work. It may all be discarded finally…I don’t know.
I will be continuing this exploratory work to see where it leads.
