PART 4 STUDIO WORK post 3

In the previous post I was experimenting with wire in conjunction with the image to achieve the ephemeral nature of sound in the landscape… as an element which is there one minute and dissolves the next. In the following image which has been months in the making, I feel that I am starting to achieve that ephemeral quality with the paint.

The image has many layers of investigation, primarily the soundscape. It is an early morning experience and the soft greys and whites give a feeling of the morning air. The dominant pinks and oranges hover like clouds above the structural lines of the land. I feel I’m achieving the quality of lightness here which I’m looking for…

The colour is always there.
